Century 100 cooling ........
I've got a beaut of a 40+ that always runs without any overheating ........... but also I've got a Century 100 that seems to pump out the same amount of water as the 40+ when running but it runs very hot and eventually stops after 10 minutes or so.
I'm guessing it may be a cracked head or similar ...

Yesterday I bought another Century 100. Its compression is a lot lower than my original Century 100.
Its not been run in the water yet (it runs fine in the tank) but i'm assuming that it will need new rings and or barrel/rebore ??
It has studs and nuts on the head rather than bolts. I have not done ...

Water thru put.
I had a problem with my century pumping a thin water stream when on my achilles 24 and a good thru put on my small dingy. The difference was i thought the ram pressure at the slots due to the faster water speed in the dingy.
I added two more slots to increase the ram pressure and this has worked ...

.... water through put
On both my Century 100 and Forty plus the water flow rate is less when used on my 24' sailboat than on my tender. It must be because the tender has more speed and the ram pressure at the water intake slots is greater. Therefore is it a good idea to add more or open the slots to increase pressure to ...
