The tank straps appear to be homemade.
The serial is TC78026

I have attached a couple of photos of the botom end

An odd TC

Hi All,
I made wee impulse buy and picked up a TC what attracted me to it was the tank and fuel cap
after getting it home i also noticed that the transom bracket is fully brass with odd thumb screws
im guessing that the two items are off an older moter does anyone have any idea what ??

There seems to be a bit of interest in the fuel cap. We may need to set up some form of Seagull race with that as the first prize :lol:

Well i have just returned from my trip to Simply Seagulls.
Jan and Graham were absolutely fantastic within minutes Graham had the rest of the gearbox in parts and the verdict ........ its not a Lemon but rather a collection of lemons joined together the new finds as the result of my trip are ...

Auckland, so tomorrow I have a five hour drive down to Simply Seagulls to see if i can get some parts and advice. luckly i have convinced the family the New Plymouth would be a wonderfull place to visit :wink:

I am going to strip the rest down tonight just in case I have any more surprises and then I will take a drive down country to see Simply Seagulls.

My First Seagull Project

And it seems to be turning into a mission already !!

I brought a cheep LLS off an auction site (my first mistake I suspect)
The guy said it run well but the water flow was a little low
Upon getting it home and having a good look over it there seem to quite a number of bodge fixes
- no idle ...
