jet size

Post by Rob Ripley »

I've lost the key to replace the jets on the Amal carby. The jets are in a carby with a broken thread, I have another carby (with good thread). What is the size of the square end, so I can make another one?

Success, 5mm OD copper pipe and a 6" triangular file with the tang that has a square taper up to 5.5 mm. A bit of gentle hammering and Voila! a jet key!
