You can see It's a early gearbox, with holes and the cap has bolts, not screws.

Charles uk wrote:The only problem with using the motor cycle type twist grips is that the cable exits the unit at 90 degrees to the tiller arm, rather than parallel like the Seagull ones, requiring a longer custom made cable, that has to have an untidy routing back up & over the top of the cylinder to the carb.
Do you have a pic of one Charles?

Re: What Gulls Had Twist Grip Throttles
Sorry Bruce I can't get pics on & off my desktop, as I was the victim of a mandatory windows 10 upgrade, meaning any of my early stuff is inaccessible.
Did anyone get a picture of my century in Bermuda this June as that had one?
The pre race scrutineers (how's that spelt) often warn against them as the throttle cable can get caught around the transom screws, which can be a big problem with a extended tiller arm, they might have pics.
Which one did you want bike style or Seagull?

Cable ties work well i find.
They have a multitude of uses.
Just how long a cable are we talking about? 10 feet or more maybe from motor to driver? Longer perhaps?

I'll have double of what your having Tam.
Must be some really good stuff your smoking up there.
I'd almost forgotten what that was like it's been so long it's started to go green around the edges from lack of use!
Bit like some of my old outboards.
