Re: 102 barge pusher.?
Well, it sold for £41, a good price for a restoration for someone, much more reasonable, bringing some fun back into this hobby.
Re: 102 barge pusher.?
sorry my friends i bottled it at the last minute. due to lack of time to restore and it not being totally original and my lack of gull knowledge.
my legs buckled. so is there any books out there i can gen up on so i can be a bit more confident when buying an early 102 while understanding
what was factory fitted and what is an added extra. thank you for all your advice O wise ones.the apprentice to be i hope.

Re: 102 barge pusher.?
Props for these 102's can be a bit of a nightmare, but with regards to the 3 bladed type shown here i think they're from the "T" series motors.
Possibly even in production at the same time as the 4 bladed hydrofan type.
I have one in a box with 102W cast into it, which i interpret as being a weedfree prop.
But no way is this a bargepusher. (too small)
Far too many snippets of information (often hard fought over) to begin to tell you how to spot a good'un from a lemon.
Drop me a pm and i might give you a few pointers

Re: 102 barge pusher.?
Jon thanks for your reply. when i say not totally original i mean quite a few things not correct.
i am aware i would be a lotto winner to obtain one complete and would need to be a lotto winner to afford such a motor.
being a novice collector i think i need to slow down. i would love a forty plus, an early 102. also a big beast barge pusher.
just need to read up and pick some brains. also put head before heart. pm you next couple of days thank you for taking the time to help. garry
