I finally started up my 40+ today. Started Oman third pull. However when I tried to rev it up to high revs ( it's was fine at half throttle). It wouldn't run and began to cut out. Does anyone have any ideas please

It could be any part of the ignition system, fuel system or engine crank or block or even gearbox.
Will need a little more information first, What's the motor like, what have you done so far to it, has it got good compression, pumping water, was it in a tank or on the water.
It could be just about anything, but most common would be the fuel system and carb needing clean.
