Last coat(fifth) of urethane clear is on 5'4" Fish....leave it now for a month to cure before polishing.9'6" mal is well under way.

The alleged 102 was reported to me from the same mate who gave me your little gem.Normally an unreliable bugger,he shocks me from time to time like when he turned up ...

That's great Hugo...I look forward to see her one day when you show your collection.

Nice to see she's gone to a good home!

(Whisper....I think I am onto another 102....I'll let you know if it is worth looking at....I just know you still need more Seagulls!)

Aussie 102 needs new home

While I know there is a " For Sale" section,I am posting this here because it is the busiest part of the forum.

Some time ago I mentioned on this forum that I have an old wartime 102 that I was going to restore.Well I have decided I have too many boat building projects on the go & finding time to ...

Hey Hugo,

My old 102 has a (dinted) brass tank!

Looking at your little collection, you might be of assistance when I get around to bringing my motor back to life?

May I contact you when that time arrives?

Thanks.

Vic,

On closer inspection,I notice you have a rowlock box on the transom which suggests you do some sculling?

Thanks Vic, I get your drift.

I might just try it on my new 8'x4' ply dinghy which I recently completed....I had installed a commercially available rubber bump strip but it is not standing up to normal robust use.

My dinghy is a modern interpretation of the plan shape of a William Atkin dinghy of ...

Vic,

How is the rope attached to the gunwales of your dinghy?

Not a Seagul question, but important as I have an old 40's 102 yet to be re-born & used on a similar dinghy.

Thanks for that.

I have an old '40s 102 #SD61 ( yet to be refurbished) so know where to find the number but the seller didn't & could only find the number I mentioned which does not tell me much. Also the pics he submitted were too dark to see any detail.

He has been bid only A$90.00 in one bid and ...

Seagul on ebay in OZ

A motor for sale here has the serial # 646kk4 according to the seller who also claims it goes.

What model could this be?....he said it has a square head with cooling fins.

Is this worth looking at?

Thanks Al.

Having a laugh

Charlesp,

Is there somewhere on this site to post the pics of my old 102?

Someone there might offer me enough for it that would allow me to include it in my baggage & bring it over to visit with you blokes & swap lies about Seaguls!....over a pint or three!

But i'm more keen to see it run & use ...

Having a Laugh

Hey Charles & others,
That motor looks a bit like my dear old SD61 doesn't it?....except for the condition & the prop. I'm pretty new around here but this fellow must be kidding with the price....or do people over there pay big bucks for these old motors?
