The later the better for me as I am hopefully just going to get the coachroof on this weekend, then its:

- rebuild lockers
- plump bilge pump
- wire in nav lights
- sand down completely
- 2-3 coats of epoxy
- prime and then topcoat

So still quite a bit of work left

Bronze corrosion is nicely removed by soaking in full fat coke for a day. If really bad replace with new coke everyday until it's gone.

Having had the pleasure of plenty of help on here I understand that some questions posed by newbies like can get repetitive. What about a few stickies in the help section with common torque values and a common list of problems and probable solutions. That may help many without pestering the few ...

Right after a fairly long break due to health issues, I got her back together this afternoon. Everything is torqued back up properly this time.

Alas she does not want to start! I get the occasional sputter but nothing seems to work. I checked the fuel supply and spark. Any ideas guys?

Ok, having cleaned out the cooling passages I am ready to reassemble but the head it rather tatty and I am not sure it is smooth enough, even with liquid gasket goo, to get good compression. What is the score on skimming the heads on these?

Also I take it that the jacket is supposed to not sit ...

How bad is this then on a scale of 1 - 10?
