Those are the three legs for a British Seagull motor display stand. They would bolt on to a black rectangular wooden pad which bore the logo.
I suspect it's strictly one motor for each tripod, even if they are little ones.

How long ago was it, when we were looking into those things Charles?
Seagull made 3 models all with the same size black painted wooden blockboard pad (220 x 285 x18mm ish), somewhere I have examples of all 3.
Nice engine stands, but with a large footprint for only 1 motor (3 feet in a triangle about 900mm apart), I can't remember whether this one is the lightweight or middle weight example, as they all had different castings at the top of the tubelar legs.
Just found the middleweight legs (3/4" dia aluminium), yours is a lightweight (3/4" dia aluminium), I can't get to the heavyweight bits but, they look like very long steel drive shaft tubes.
