I'm having problems getting this brass gearbox oil filler plug out of this old 102...any advice out there please?its same as block plugs 1 big slot..

You want to cut a piece of metal stock that is the exact width as the narrow slot and overfills the wide slot so that you get the best torque on the screw of course. Apply the loosening oil like Holy Water and recite the Kama Sutra backwards and it will loosen... :lol:

It might well pay you to liberally apply heat to the gearbox end cap.

I find that the butane blow torch is nearly as usefull as the 1/4" BSF spanner in your Seagull toolkit.

Get it hot enough for spit to boil & the aluminium will expand much more than the brass.

Don't damage the brass plug as these are very difficult to find & they look much better the the nylon replacement.
