Unusual engine

Anybody have a view on the origins of item # 300101006870, located on the usual auction site?
Linked as http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :B:SS:UK:1
Familiar tank design? Interesting tiller arm operational geometry, pivoting on the transom clamp. Difficult photo analysis; where's the prop? Far East export, a Sunday afternoon hoax or something completely different?

Similar looking air cooled motors, with miniature props and infinitely longer legs, roar up and down the Yellow River in Thailand...... Now they do have a loud distinctive bark! (Definitely bang on a stick!)

Edit: After another look I think it does have an axial prop fitted (no 90 degree gearbox) and the "annular ring" is a safety guard.

I reckon it's an Atco Boat Impellor...

There's a bit about them on the main SOS site.
