Re: New SD project
Excellent base for a restoration, seems complete. Whats the number? I can I register it? Could that be an original trumpet?
Not many of those about.

Re: New SD project
Is that a brass or steel tank, need to log all the facts. Can I have the JM number at some point?
That makes 8 engines on the list, slowly making progress

Re: New SD project
Nice steel tank, of the type with the rim around the edges. Fewer of this type of tank around, I suspect. Nice carb and air intake, and what looks like the original tank support lugs.
I do like these in nice original condition. Well found!

Nice one, should be an easy restoration.
I do like engines that have been painted, I find they are often nice under the paint.

Re: New SD project
The fuel pipe is close to the shape it would have been when new.
Ignitions are available but at a price, for one with a JM number that goes with the serial number & isn't on it's last legs you might have to pay as much as you paid for the whole motor.
Your new SD didn't leave Seagull with that ignition on it, are the JM numbers on the flywheel & the base plate both the same?
