Just how many Seagulls do you have?
Just a bit of fun really - I thought I'd play with the 'Poll' feature of this forum.
I've often wondered how many Seagulls the contributors on this board own, and what types they are, so here's a first attempt:
Oh - and don't worry - only the figures are available to view - nobody will be able to tell how many an individual poster may have stashed away in the shed!

I have sixteen (16) Seagull's at this writing. A couple are parts motors as the cyl blocks are rusted out. I keep my eye out for replacement parts to bring them back if possible over time. I bought a big box of odd bits and ends for next to nothing at a yard sale that helps keep part costs down - so far anyway.

How many Seagulls?
Hi - Approx 6 (I admit) Mostly rescues, only one really good 102. All in use from time to time on Drascombe Lugger and an inflateable for the 40 pluses. .....But I love them!

I have three.
A Forty Plus Mark II, long shaft (runs, perfectly, but unrestored); It has been sold to a chap in Oregon and will go out this weekend;
These two have been fully restored in the last year and are not, nor will they be, for sale; my granddaughter is firm on this:):)
A 102 (interesting - Ho Hum)
A 1973 Silver Century Plus (WSPCL). Northern Star's auxiliary(always been my favourite model of Seagull since they were originally introduced).

Just today I doubled my Gull inventory!
I was given 2 beauties that sat on a dusty shelf for several years after not selling in an auction. They are:
an LLSL M5 and a CPC F4 Both need only cosmetic restoration.

seagull numbers
I have to admit to having eighteen of the blighters ....a 50/50 mix of silver century plus's and featherweights, all in mint order..........I realised long ago that i had a problem but im too far gone to care anymore! .......I find them very therapeutic.......in as much as, when im feeling really low or ive had a row with the wife , i can go into the garage with a glass of whisky and gloat over them .
Keeping a Seagull in the dining room isn't actually all that unusual. I know a chap who frequents these boards (you know who you are!) who keeps a Marston indoors and, would you believe, another outboard that's from foreign parts...
I was keen to see how many 'gulls people had - hoping to demonstrate that my addiction was reasonable compared to others. I'm greatly heartened to find I'm not alone.
My daughter and her fiancee live with me, so there's no chance of keeping any of my flock indoors. She even gets stroppy if she finds components in the dishwasher, and has recently 'tidied' my entire stock of throttle cable components into the wheelie bin.. Bless her.
