Seagull picture wanted for book illustration
Jackie at British Seagull has been asked for a good picture of a 102 on the back of a wooden clinker type boat to use as an illustration in a book that's something to do with our maritime history.
She asked me if I could help, well I've got no suitable pictures.
Perhaps someone on here could help, the're looking for a varnished timber hull with a 102 (in very clean condition with a good transfer) hanging off the transom, under way or tied to a picturesque mooring, in the same vein as any of Seagull's old advertising illustrations.
It's the motor & transom that are important, not the Victoria falls in the background.
If the boat's under way it would look better with a knarled seadog driving than his topless grand daughter.
Perhaps you'll get your pride & joy immortalised in print.
So if you think you have any pictures that would suit could you email them to Jackie Corless at, http://www.britishseagull.co.uk.

thats not an e mail address ..you mean Info@britishseagull.com and you would need to have copyright on the photo.

I think there might be a contact us, link on the British Seagull web site, britishseagull.co.uk.
Why would I want you to send your pictures, to a completely different site almost on the other side of the world?
Don't send a picture if your worried about copyright, we all post pictures all over the internet, isn't that public domain with no copyright rights, she's not asking for people to search the web for someone elses picture, just asking if anyone's got a picture of their boat with a clean 102 on the back that they wouldn't mind being used.
Have you been swimming in the amber nectar?

That is the correct e mail address for the site listed ..just because it says .com does not mean its in the USA ..can be anywhere . And if you take a photo its your copyright and you dont loose it if you post it on the web ..Just making the point that its no good finding a picture for publication if you dont know who took it. ie the copyright holder as the publisher could not use it .....If you intend to take a photo then use the highest resolution possible preferably RAW
so you all have a nice day ..

Your right when I used the .com address yesterday, it took me to britishseagull parts in the us hence my comments.
The .com & the .co.uk both take you to the real British Seagull site.
Sorry for the confusion I created.

Not exactly a 102 but She is getting ready for being "Underway", I think.......well She was about an hour later anyway.
And, do not mention in Her hearing, but, She is "OLD"

Oh Charles you are such a "funny" boy .. the question to be answered here my skinny friend, is how many times have you attempted to complete the Great Race and how many times have you completed? against my own record which spans 18 years, 11 of those as divisional winners, followed by another 4 in top 3 finishes .... one DNF on day 1 two years ago, but repaired o/night and won the regatta event next day , since then I have adopted the role of organiser and "motherhen" to poor lost souls like your self .. Your record from memory is 6 attempts and 2 finishes ... the River Gods are waiting for you.

Certainly not much hull in the water -
- now if it was a little longer to allow enough room to fit a canopy and streamline that funny little gnome sitting in it, then would it fly . . .
