Paper Gasket

Post by outboard »

Can anyone tell me if the gasket for the crankcase is just card? Can I make one from card? I read somewhere on the site where people scanned these then printed them, is this the case?

Thanks
Gerard

I would make sure that the "Just Paper" is of the oil retention/gasket type but.

Not something like photocopy paper.

Same thickness though.

I have always used "Case Sealer" myself. Yamabond or Suzuki #4 for example. Not Dow Corning stuff! No matter what they claim.
