I have several 102s, one AC860 complete. AD48108 almost completed but it wont start. I pulled the jets out and found they were both blocked. Collected the jets from another spare carby and a couple from the 'spare parts box'.
I have 2 jets with #30, 2 jets with #35, 2 jets with #45 and one with #40.
To keep the fuel mix the same on all my Seagulls (102, 40+ and C100) I'd like to run at 16:1.
Question - what jets should I run on the AD48108?
which jets for my 102

Firstly tour AD should be a 10:1 motor. That's how it left the factory, and that's how it's best left - it's not recommended practice to run any motor earlier than 1967 on other than its original mixture.
That should mean that the jet is a 45 or a 50.
The 16:1 mix is generally an adjustment made by screwing down the needle in a Villiers carburettor, so it's a bit of a DIY modification.

which jets for my 102
Thanks Charles. So I'll use the #45 for the 'power jet', what about the economy jet? The #30 or #35?
btw, what is a simple (cheap) way to clean the inside of the jets?
