problems with silver century

Recently bought a silver century was fine at first. then have had a problem it works fine when in neutral but when put into gear it stops does anyone have any idea why this happens.

Stops dead because the gears are seized? Can you still turn it by hand when in gear? Oil in gear box?

Or stalls due to lack of power or revs?
