It's all good.

Where would we be if we didn't share information? Probably wading through a lot of myths and legends i suspect. :roll:
My interest with all this was to see how a small company such as BS progressed through the years from the early pre-war years, through to the war time period and beyond.
It's only now after researching different bits and bobs that i can start to see just how varied a typical outboard motor design could be. Some things changed quite dramatically over the years, in other respects some things didn't really change that much.

Any way, the hunt continues for a coil. :P

I do not understand the search for a coil Jon. Could you let us know the dimensions of it?

He's talking about the standard Villiers M1634 coil, Bruce, 62.5mm long, 35mm diameter, with a 7/16" inch diameter core.

I used a Villiers coil off a later ignition to make this stator plate up.
Just need to work out where I put my brass points boxes. :roll:
Its now officially kitchen table weather. :lol:
