Coo he's gone all secretive! Location of RAF Ibsley is no longer classified info within the meaning of the Offical Secrets Act but you might still think so if you try and find this event on the web!

Directions? Simples!

However those totally reliant on GPS and postcodes might do worse than contact Charles for detailed directions!

Have to say that the contact telephone number at the bottom never seems to answer with a human, even after the event to express complimentary feedback. Even months after the event !

But definitely worth a visit.... if only to see the chocolate bar display...!!

And this is where they dunk them :)

There is a weird absence of information on the interweb about this event, but I can confirm it' on the 1st and 2nd of August, and it's at:

Brooklands Farm, South Gorley, Fordingbridge

There will be a selection of Marstons, wartime Seagulls, post war stuff, ephemera, related items.

There will be the ceremonial starting of a pre-war outboard for the first time in over 50 years. Hopefully there will be a rising young actress to perform the start!

There will be wartime military vehicles, classic vintage motor bikes, classic and vintage cars, agricultural machinery, and traction engines.

There will be some really excellent model aircraft, and real flying by real vintage machines. In recent years there have been Tiger moth, Spitfire, Mustang, Prentice, Bucker Jungmann, Auster, and many more.

There will be ice cream and cider and beer and burgers, military memorabilia, antique blowlamps (I kid you not!), antique shoes (Yes really), wicker, timber, pickled onions, jam, cakes and the rest.

There will be stationary engines and pumps and generators and rotavators and suchlike,

And there will be Andy and me. We will give you a cup of tea and make you welcome.

See you there...

People loved the cutaways last year, so they will be back again next weekend.

Remember we're bringing - again - more Marstons than are ever displayed together anywhere else in the world. And we will be running them.

We will be delighted to see any of this forum's members, anyone is very welcome for a chat or a cuppa, bring your motor, have a good day out.

Jeeps, Statinary Engines, Vintage Aircraft, Classic and Vintage cars & bikes, vintage agricultural stuff, and of cours our stand.

What with that and a pint of cider, what on earth could be better?

See you there...
