The 102 plus has always struck me as one of the most impressive Seagull motors with its massive gearbox and 13”prop though I imagine that due to their large size they were limited in their appeal.
They seem to rarely get mentioned in this forum and I was wondering how many still survive and indeed how many are still actually used?

Well,
My THC isn't that slow, about the same as a normal 102, but with more push and to reach the same speed you need more revs.
Once, I pushed a 20ton barge, not fast, but she did!
My THC is the Seagull I like most, but for normal use on my Drascombe I use my AC, much lighter! Our Drascombe is named Seagull (of course).
My THC, I use a few times a year only on our heavy steel boat while tugging the boat of our 5 year old daughter. I am now renovating a forty minus for her...
