Anzani super single muffler painted?.

I'm busy restoring an Anzani super single. Is it correct that the muffler is just of bare steel? Not painted? The muffler was heavily corroded, after cleaning I could not find any sign of paint. If there was paint, the color?

All the ones I've had / seen had been silver originally . I used high temp paint so just had to use the shade of silver that was available

If a later model they were mild steel with just enough gold zinc plate to show the colour.

Then just before they were Chrome steel washed in silverfrost paint stuff.

Earlier were chrome steel Nickle plate and polished with thicker material.

They all suffer time...

Thanks, these are vinyl. Originals on the tank are a kind of waterslide. Try ro make them myself this winter.

Just trying to help is all.

You can buy the vinyls then scan and make your waterslides via the image.

I am sure that would work and others of course will be interested if you sort that out aye.
