Seagull likes tickover.
Re: British Seagull Outboards (YouTube Clips)
I'll just post this again seen as we've gone from page three to page four, I wonder would it be possible for any of the moderators to update the "YouTube" tab button to accept "https" as well as "http" YouTube clips as there are quite a lot of clips with "htttps".
pat777 wrote:Some YOUTUBE clips have "https" infront of them instead of "http", the forum youtube button does not accept these and will not embed the clip in to the post and will just display the youtube brackets with the link address. So just delete the "s" off the "http" and it should work.Oyster 49 wrote:Here's a short clip of H-A and myself going around Hayling Island a few years ago.
As you can see the youtube feature does not seem to work. Any ideas?
https = Not good![]()
http = Good

It works! I've edited my earlier post and the video is now viewable

This one will hopefully give everyone a laugh, reminds me of my first time bringing a seagull on the canal, my first experience was not quite as bad as this but not far off,glad no one had a camera on me anyway!

It's usually me or Raoul Leyland in the little yellow boats, Pat.
If you see one being towed that's probably me, relaxing, no stress, no noise, sightseeing.
The yellow boat above looks like a Minimost, a good Century should get that on the plane with a light weight driver.

Thanks a lot Keith!
Pat zoom in on this pic you can get a bit of an idea of how I connect my steering drum to the steering bar with 4mm Dynema plus tension springs.

There is 10 seconds of me on there, Pat, different yellow boat, broken down, or so I'm told.
You Bas****s are determined to rub it in! I break down 10 or 20 times.
Yes I broke 1 crankshaft in Bermuda, 2 in NZ, 1 twisted crank before the race at Taupo when I was sabotaged by a Kiwi, 1 snapped leg in Hamilton, spat the rings out of the exhaust 12 hours before the start at Karapiro, I see no reason why anyone would accuse me of breaking things all the time!

Is that 10 or 20 times daily?! That must be a right pain for you.Charles uk wrote: You Bas****s are determined to rub it in! I break down 10 or 20 times.
I wonder would John Williams consider stocking the Dvd, he'd certainly have the captive audience of buyers for it anyway.

When the revolution starts, your name Pat will be top of the list for the firing squad along with Tam & Keith!

Re: British Seagull Outboards (YouTube Clips)
I did inquire about the DVD, but as no one had asked for a DVD in the UK, the postage had to be worked out and what bank to pay money in to, it seemed a little expensive for a seagull race DVD.
Filmed over two seasons wasn't it?
