LOL, it was exactly the same way I bought a very rare and hard to get scuttle plate for one of our David Brown Cropmaster tractor. One in bad condition still fetches $200.00 but I bought this perfect example that bolted straight on with no rust or bends in it and got it for just $10.00. It was described as scrap metal and sold for more than scrap metal value to me. I guess that it was my first and last big saving of a restoration project. In the condition it is in and being all steel and not a fibreglass replica it is worth $600.00 minimum.
