HI I have just brought a 15ft Shetland boat it came with 4 outboards
3 of them need small repairs. Im Iooking to fix one but im not to sure
what one to fix and keep for a back up outboard an what ones to sell
which of these outboards are most reliable
an would push my boat fastest in the sea .
I have a british anzani unitwin 15 / a 1963 Evinrude fastwin 18hp/ 1983 Johnson seahorse 8.0hp sailmaster
ive cleaned the carbs an they all spark an turn over so intheory they should all start the bits i need are
british anzani unitwin 15 i need two thumb screws
1963 Evinrude fastwin 18hp i need a choke plug thiny that screws to the carb
1983 Johnson seahorse 8.0hp sailmaster i need clamp/mount and thumb screws
i would be greatful for info or if u have these parts

Could you go to http://www.marineengine.com and click on the part that has Johnson / Evinrude 1955 and up. Look up your motors' year and find the omc part numbers for the motors you are referring to, that way we might have some idea which part you are referring to. I know it's obvious to you, but I'm certain it's not as obvious to anyone else. Might be able to help on the Fastwin part if I had a clue what it was.

Here is the parts diagram for the '63 Fastwin carb, which part are you referring to as the choke plug?

The rectangular one on the motor Keith showed should be the one you need if it is the choke knob you are after.
The video had no shots of the motor's control knobs that I noticed.

The outboard in my link is the same as mine I couldn't fine a pic of the choke
but the one in keiths pic has the choke knob I need and its the same colour as mine.
