British Anzani Class B Racer Cylinder Porting...
Here are a few pictures of the 7 inlet and 2 exhaust ports
in the Anzani cylinders and the recessed cylinder head design which, fed by upswept ports with moulded aluminium inserts causes the "loop charging" in the combustion chamber. These Anzani motors are piston ported and have a rotary valve in the crankcase.

Remember, dust and dirt are the enemies of all moving parts...keep your motor clean and it will repay you!

Not much room for water ciculation in those waterways. These engines must run quite hot!

Think about it would you rather have a large quantity of very slow moving water with the odd stagnant backwater or a high speed flow sweeping against the cylinder wall, which will remove the most heat and is over cooling a benefit in a heat engine?
This is a 22 + kilowatt motor with no water pump designed to run at at least 7000 revs on pump fuel!
That looks like stock pump fuel porting.

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
