How did you find SOS?

Post by TCWest »

Just wondering...I know how I found it. Wikipedia! Yep. Johnny is listed as an 'external source', and I lucked into a veritable mine of information. Luckily, no pickaxes or hardhats with lanterns attached are needed. It's not that kind of mine. Really.
(Incidentally...if your answer is, "Oh, I was looking for more information on how to get a long shaft to replace my short one..., please. Make something up. Nobody wants to hear about that. )
"Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys.
Look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death!"

Originally found SOS after a mate gave me a WPCL he'd retrieved from the bottom of Poole Harbour.

I have made a number of good friends on this site, and what's better, learned a tremendous amount.

I honestly believe that if you can't get an answer here, then the answer most likely doesn't exist.

It started up with a Century 100, the old outboard of our neighbour which I got for free because she moved home to a dry place. It had not run for at least 15 years but started at first pull after cleaning tank, carb etc. Before this Seagull I used Evinrude, Tomos, Johnson and Mercury.
Now I only have Seagulls (4). Before I had a Seagull, I rowed a lot....

Trying to find some info on the net, I came on this perfect site!
