Funnily enough every brass component is on a different motor!
Brass throttle levers are class. I think you have a brass tiller. Quite a few of these about. Here is a non seagull brass cap even though it is marked at 10 -1. I think I might have a brass seagull one somewhere. I'm tempted to put them all on one motor.... a copper top SD.

Huggy
Are the copper hats the same shape as the aluminium ones?
I mean, can they be put on top of each other?

Nice kit Huggy !!! I have a brass trumpet , But you can send over the carb body !!
I do want to have some contrast so I can go with out the tank brackets ~ but if you insisted I 'd see how they looked
I think I'm close to securing a bronze throttle lever , but if I ever get a coolie hat I'd restore that motor for sure. As I already have a brass flywheel of sorts I'll go with that . All in all I'm pretty close to getting it all together .

Re: Good Guys .
It was a beautiful summers day today as I drove the 300 mile round trip to collect my 7th gull a 102 ,AD 7200
I wanted this one for the older style exhaust and the brass throttle lever .
Made in 1946 and owned by the same gentleman since 1965 there was a tear in his eye as it changed hands . He is no longer mobile enough to use it and he has to made the move to a bigger vessel .
My plan is to amalgamate the best parts of my 3 motors to make two keepers and one to sell . This one while basically sound and intact it has had some non standard parts used to service over the years and even after scavenging parts I should still be left with three runners .
AD 7200 my yet stay in my collection more of less complete, we will see what the crank and the block look like once I've stripped it down . the gear head is in great nick for a motor that has had so much use , thankfully the last 10 years almost exclusively in lake Rotorua

I also collected from the foundry the brass blank that's going to be a bow tie prop and my SD prop for the Army motor from the machine shop , quite a lot of work to do to be able to run these blades yet , Shaping ,sanding and polishing but you get the idea .

Have to say though that the trustworthy AD has trouble pulling the the skin of a rice pudding but nevertheless a fine motor.
You will have to excuse me, having a few ambers. Had to let my last sheila go. Lovely lass but unfortunately when she fell out of the ugly tree she hit every branch on the way down.

Re: Good Guys .
The bow tie is the correct prop for this motor. Which reminds me I need to find a tie, a friend chocked on a bit of cheese and had a fatal coronary. Blah.. hate funerals. Probably while I'm feeling a bit out of sorts.
