Concerned about an oil leak.

After coming back from a test run yesterday, I took the motor from the trailer to the stand and noticed a heap of gear oil leaking out from the water inlet. Its gearoil. :o :o :shock: :shock: :? :? :!: :!: Does this mean i have a problem????

I would say the pinion bush is worn.

Or the gearbox is overful and the oil is being forced out. I just check my oil every outing and don't wory about any leaks.
Nothing wrong with a bit of agricultural engineering...

I think your wright Mate. I took it out on todays river run, And when i brought it home. No oil leaking from it. I checked the oil level. And its spot on. So i must of overfilled it.

I do. But i think what i done was topped it up with oil. And because its so thick it took ages to run out. So i was in a hurry to get going and rushed it threw. Next time i will top it up and leave sit for a while b4 i use it next.
