Very Early Brit

Post by Collector Inspector »

Those of you seeing my earlier post about Britannia remember I had an Old Mate with, what he said was a 28?

Well, we got rather under the weather one day, listen to comentary, and I took this video. Lower Donnelly River Western Australia.

My Old Mate gave a rather expletive filled run, sorry, He is a tad "Old School Bush Bloke"

Here is the vid I took while trying to NOT fall off the jetty at the time :)

It was a fantastic afternoon in the Hut, warm fire and spirits!

AYE!

Anyway...............look at the motor and comment?

Thanks for that Mate!

I have another taken just before this one with me removing a Riptide from the same boat.

Sadly, the Old Gent was taking the record and his language was not what I can post here.

I do not think that john would appreciate a similar link to that video posted here. I can PM a link to it if anyone is interested seperately.

Yeh, all good fun none the less................

At the end of above.......................silence....................He forgot the vent screw in the fuel cap!

:D

I have had some emails re a Brit. In fact identifying one re question in a pic supplied.

The pic is noted as being of a family member in the water but the what re outboard on the rescue boat was the question.

Yes,it is a Brit light twin.

The date of the photo is confirmed 1935.

It was taken on the Brighton Boating Lake

I have uploaded it as I believe that it is not really problem between parties and should spark some conversation.

There must be some story with this classic OOPS?

Cheers

How did they manage to sink 3 rowing boats?

It's not Brighton, Sussex that's for sure.

Sorry,"New"Brighton Boating Lake if that makes any sense.

My email laptop in the kitchen has dead battery so I have earlier asked if more details but as yet can not access any replies.

Battery is in airbag ex east so probably going via the black stump.
