thought id post a few pics of a anzani pilot ive just rebuilt took me about a year to get the parts but it runs very well now so im pretty pleased couldnt find a threaded fuel cap so i took an old seagull one and turned it down and cut new thread on it to fit the tank.repainted it in the colours i got it in but didnt want to lose the original anzani logos on the sides of the tank so masked them off to keep them seemed a bit harsh to lose them so decided to keep a little of the original paint work.

I gather you like to paint, as I can also just see a blue seagull.
Its a shame about the tank cap, its not something you can easily get hold of, even though the 5hp one would also fit.
I have three pilots, just one more to restore, its the same as your white one, but a little later, I may get around to it one day.

Looks good.

I have not had my Pilot on the back of my boat yet, but I am told they perform better than a 40+.

I must give it a try.

Both my Pilot caps are red for some reason:

That red, which is red anodising on an aluminium cap is correct - later Pilots has a pressed steel cap.
