I used polyester resin, I was a little worried about the heat build up, so I put it in the fridge.

It has worked, but I am sure people will say that I have not done it correctly, and should have used some expensive potting compound that would reduce the chance of stressing the components.

Way to go, I ve never had any problems using fiberglass resin before. If im in a hurry i use cheap 5 minute Araldite.

Nice to see the engine going again, amazing how a bit a time and attention can fix something, rather than throw it away.

I remember using the same engine in the late 70s and 80s. Lovely and smooth, powerful, and clean. Also light enough to carry.

Nice one H-A. I might look for a suitable American twin to play about with 8)

Dirty and local, has a spark and fires 1965 Evinrude 6 (Canadian), this one has the remote brackets that I need.

Very clean, dry stored in house for 40 years in the spare bedroom, Johnson 6 1966.
(not picked up yet) never seen the salt.

I must sell some others, or get a cat

Not bidding on Marstons at the moment, am into OMC, the Mercury may have to go. :D
