BRITANNIA MIDDY ENGINEI

Post by woodcipper2006 »

I bought this engine over 30 years ago still in its original packing case, although riddled with woodworm. The engine was unused and covered in a red corrosion inhibitor which washes off easily with petrol as can be seen by the flywheel and base plate.
Unfortunately the coil is knackered and I modified a seagull coil to get it running which can be seen on youtube via the link below. Until last year I had no idea of its use until seeing Chris Jones and friends with their cockleshell canoe project.
I did then contemplate the same but owing to ongoing health problems this is now not going to happen.
I would be very interested from anyone who may have an idea of its value should i decide to sell it.

Regards John
