Item # 170102850866 in the usual online auction house......must surely raise a flutter in the pulse and generate a comment or two.

This well scrubbed up "SD" looks like it already enjoys a place in a collection!

Yes, looks a perfectly reasonable SD.

Interesting to note the drive shaft leg is devoid of chrome - quite a number of these models turn up similarly unplated; I wonder if they started life painted?

Brackets from this era are very very scarce, the correct 'B' type originally fitted to short water jacket 102s from the second half of the war frequently had them replaced by the factory when they went back for a service. Apparently the skeletal bronze structure would shake loose, and the safety bar at the bottom was awkward.

But all in all, a nice motor - there aren't many short water jacket models around.
