1 rust in tank
2 brass tank= no rust in tank.
3 banjo filter blocked
4 carburettor blocked
5 fuel line blocked
6 bad compression
7 bad crank seals
8 weak spark
9 crank case leak
10 cracked block, I can go on.

You could have any model seagull, from one cylinder, two cylinder, electronic ignition to basic Villiers, fuel pump Yes-No, electric start?

If you do indeed have a two cylinder Seagull then I would very much like to hear about it, and photos would be appreciated.

Otherwise it's most likely that your problem lies with the fuel supply.

Silver Century, August 1976.

Clean your carb, banjo filter and tank out of any debris and you may find an improvement.

You could use pea gravel in the tank, a good shake and remove all gravel, a good rinse out, job done.
