Those pesky little HT lead terminal springs.

Post by charlesp »

Anyone have a source for the little springs you find in HT lead terminal blocks?

Replacing the brass screw isn't a problem, I know you can't get hold of the exact originals but an ordinary brass wood screw of the right dimensions is a good substitute. Most of the HT leads I see seem to have the spring in a very distressed state - rewinding it to a workable shape is a pain for my old eyes and if the brass contact sticks out too far it doesn't make for easy reassembly.

Any help appreciated...

Charles, what about motor or alternator carbon brush springs, not hard to get hold of.
