Bolt on recoil starter

Found this on Fleabay. Is it the legit one that Seagull made or can anyone tell me what it is?

Anyone of you anoraks out there suggest what Seagull models this might or might not fit?

Seller has confirmed the recoil works and it definitely came off a Seagull, so is almost certainly a Siba.

Are they any good or not?

Fits the standard Seagull crankcase, by courtesy of some extra long bolts which replace those which hold the crankcase halves together.

Any good ? Well, the Siba recoil and actuating mechanism is exactly the same as that fitted to the 90/110.
The big difference is that when using a 'cage' it's necessary to fit spacer washers between the cage and the mechanism housing in order that the top of the adapter boss just clears the bottom of the recoil mechanism housing - bit of a hassle, but only needs to be done once.

One drawback for earlier engines is that it makes 'pulling the top off' to check the points setting a bit more of a production, and might tempt the owner to ignore basic maintenance ...
