hi all
i'm about ready to start reassembling the 40 +. have been looking for 140 weight oil. I have found 3 sources. napa sl24228 , penrite gear oil sold by restoration supply co. in escondido california and lubriplate. i believe the lubriplate and the napa sl24228 are synthic. does anybody know of these oils and can they be used in the gear case. i've read on the forum not to use blends but straight 140.
thanks again for all your assistance

Re: which gear oil to use
Greg,
in the States, NAPA seems to be the choice:
Part # SL SL24238 is a straight weight oil and is not synthetic. #SL SL24228 is the same oil in the quart size.
