COIL REMOVAL

HI GUY,S CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE HOLDING THE COIL TO THE BASE PLATE OTHER THAN THE 2 SCREW,S ON THE BASE PLATE MANY THANK,S

If its a Villiers coil them it should have just four screws.

YES IT,S A VILLER,S WHEN YOU SAY 4 SCREW,S I,M ASSUMING YOUR MEANING THOSE 4 SMALL HOLE,S AT EACH END OF THE COIL WHAT ABOUT THE 2 NUT,S ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BASE PLATE MANY THANK,S

This is getting to be hard work
Four screws undo from underneath, the two bolts hold the points base on.

MANY THANK,S JUST FOUND 2 SCREW,S UNDER 1MM OF HAMMERITE CHEER,S

Two slotted head screws, and two threaded studs that have the nuts on. The nuts hold the ht lead retaining spring.

Grind a screwdriver so that it fits exactly, give the screw a couple of taps with the screwdriver in the slot before you try to undo it.

The studs can be more difficult, If you lock two nuts together on the stud then give it a couple of taps it should come undone with a spanner.

I have had to drill both screws and studs out.
