Hi everyone
Just a quick question, can I presume the words top end on the impeller means.... have that side of the impeller facing upwards towards the engine which seams to make sense as the round raised section of the impeller fits nicely into the circular hole in the upper gear box casting. It does seem to fit snugly into the gasket hole also but I thought the clearance was supposed to be under the impeller between impeller and gasket. Just assembling gear box you see and then apart from painting prop she will be ready to use as my aux engine.
Thanks

Re: Impeller
The clearance is very tight and it is crucial to have correct thickness of gasket. The pinion gear on the crown raises the impeller so it is not scraping. When apart it gives the impression of dropping too low.
