leaking fuel line

Post by roxylass »

the end of the fuel line where it joins the banjo, can see fuel leaking from here, the crimp is fairly loose is it possible to steep in hot water and then push the fuel pipe further on don't see the point of putting any kind of sealant on it as petrol will surely eat it,s way through.

The crimped joints will usually turn, but remain petrol-tight. Are you sure it is the banjo/pipe joint? more often it's the fibre washers either side of the banjo which are the culprit, and create an apparent leak in the pipe area.

If it is the pipe union, no cure to tighten them - need to replace.
