Anzani Australia......Best One Yet!
I am bidding on this Old Love.
I need parts at least for an alcohol 15 that I have in boxes, along with resident Redbacks no doubt as I have not actually put my eyes on it for maybe 5 years or so.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/COLLECTABLE-VINT ... 1e5e3f343a
Gearbox spares as well!
I love the Bay
B
PS: I do not like new zero feedback bidders that "Like Magic", just lob in?
This Old Dear WILL go for some Serious Money Down Here!

Re: Anzani Australia......Best One Yet!
It's an Anzani class A or B racer, late 50's, with the Methanol head & carb, when started you should be able to hear it a couple of miles away, even with trees around the water.
I would expect it to reach nearly Au$2500.
60 to 75 Mph on the right hydro!
One of these, a class B, was the first outboard to exceed 100mph, not bad for 322cc.
From an era when we still had a state of the art engineering industry.

Re: Anzani Australia......Best One Yet!
I am still the highest bidder with a while to go yet.
I may be down_under crazy but the others are going to have to get cracking with the $s to catch me.
Thank the Lord, I do not have a H.I.D.

If Bruce hadn't said he was bidding, I would've done, that was a very cheap complete Anzani racer,
another good prop to suit that motor could well cost half that much & a good gear box half as much again.

No, did not win it. It went for the right price and I should have upped the anti. I also missed out on a nice Australian Seasprite (I have two anyway) and a nice Australian Speed (I have two anyway) for, what looks like a bit too much $s.
6 months ago, there was an Anzani minor, really nice, on Aus Ebay. I was absolutely determined to have it! (I have 4 of them only one is complete).
I placed a max bid of $1015.00 at the last 15 seconds, no probs, will be mine..................Wrong!
The winning bidder was using bidding software. It went for $1025.00! Hence my reluctance to keep going with the above. Atl east my lot has increased in value as that is a precedence. (Makes it tough to start a collection for Newbies but).
I did win this, what is supposed to be K&O......not sure about that but it is outstanding! ($400.00 inc post ex States)

Anyway, seeing things down here are getting somewhat, competative, I will cool down and bid the higher dollar for real quality.
So much for a cheap hobby eh?

PS: Where is the Spleng Chekka?
