Hello friends

Not much work been going on in my garage due to workload, hence my absence from the forum.
Decided to make some time and get my two forty+ engines overhauled and put back together, alas in my rush I never cleared my bench and I've dropped one of the nuts off the two studs on the cylinder head. I'm buggered if I can find it. Can someone please give me the size of these stud threads. I think I've got a nut for every other size, just as you'd expect.

Cheers

If the stud diameter is about 8mm (you can measure with a ruler) then the thread size is 5/16" B.S.F.

If the diameter is about 6mm then the thread is 1/4" B.S.F.

That covers about 95% of the engine :)

H-A

P.S. John has nice Stainless ones of you need them.
