102 carb

Post by woodbutchergraham »

Has anyone got a drawing of the amal carb 2 jet on a 102. I have mine running but slightly erratic, it seems to be pushing fuel out the two holes at the rear of the main carb body. I do mean pushing it’s a fairly constant flow. Any one an idea or come across this problem before ?

the amal carbs are all basically the same, the amal from a silver century will fit and run on a 102 and vice a versa. With your problem it is usually a dirty carb in the float bowl and make sure the notch of the needle in the float bowl is held by the clip on top of the float or the level will be wrong, be gentle doing things up on the amals as it is easy to damage the thread and getting harder to find good carbs
