sign in irritations
This should probably be addressed to Brendan. Several times I have written a fairly long explanation of some aspect of Seagull mechanics after logging in only to find that I am required to log in again, thus losing all the 20-30 mins work I have put into composing an answer. I am a slow typist and often need to pause to think a process through before posting. I find this quite intolerable and can only wonder why it was thought necessary in the first place.

Hi,
think you are maybe timing out on the server.
Did this in word, then cut and paste it into reply
Try to write out your reply in Word before you log in as I just did above, then right click, cut, and then log in, right click paste and it's done.
Regards

There is a box that needs ticking re log me on automatically each visit. Never had a problem with timeout and often leave page open for hours.

Know just what you mean. It's very very irritating.
If I know I'll be some while, or need to check a fact back in the thread, I highlight all I've typed and 'copy' it.
Then paste it back into a new reply box. Saves going through Word.

Well, maybe what ya posted is boring or long winded or long time deciding what ya want to say?
What exactly is it that you wanted to say anyway.....................
