I always admire inventiveness etc., but why are all these possibilites better than just buying the proper thing from John?

It's called 'improvisation' to all us non tool tarts . And I'm sure all segull owners will have some sort of 'make do and mend' mentality

well guess what? it turns out that john does have them as others have mentioned. and probably cheaper than a radiator key anyway!
and one doesnt need to adapt it. too easy!

yup ....then add the P&P (not wanting to do John out of any legit busness )...brass rad key starts to look real good

Ummmmm......... those hordes are already here, black hair everywhere. We are getting a lot of English immigrants at present..... with Indian linage . Our kangaroo dinosaurs have pads not hoofs, very environmentally friendly they are.

I had kangaroo sausages for brekky. Used chopsticks.

My 100 that lay in my brothers shed for 15 years with fuel in the tank, wont start unless I spray easy start in the air intake,it has the twin jet amal carb, and then it only runs for about 3 seconds which is probably the time it takes for the easy start to burn, which makes me think the jets are completely blocked, does anybody think carb cleaner would clean them? incidentally this carb has no choke, there are no slots in the air intake where a choke would be fitted, the only way to choke the motor is to put my hand over the intake

yes they are blocked and carb cleaner would work and compressed air for the jets, also maybe fine wire to clean the jets, not all amals have a choke, if the carb is clean it usually doesn't need one

Carb Cleaner in a spray can is expensive but with the plastic tube thingy plugged in, makes blowing jets etc out very easy.

Prime ingredient is Acetone!

By a bottle and soak yr carbs!

acetone sounds like a much better idea and especially the white plastic thingy, can't use acetone or carb cleaner on the plastic bing carbies
Is the carb cleaner basically acetone?
