Just wanted to say hi to all the other Seagull enthusiasts out there. I am from the USA and will be getting my 1st Seagull tomorrow.

First of many perhaps. Apologees for the lack of response. Most of forum in hibernation (or watching repeats of Neighbours 
) me thinks. Reminds me of last time I was in England. I was sitting in Pub trying to have a chat with other patrons to no avail, the barmaid said to me "don't worry luv, they won't talk to foreigners".

I live in the UK and have had the same response, I have a small collection of engines and outboards and most people don’t know the difference between a con rod and a crank and just aren’t interested, you just get a blank expression.
As far as I am concerned, if I didn’t collect the engines and outboards, ok they may not be the most expensive in the world, they would have only have gone for scrap and that’s not good, I know that you can’t save everything, I started my collection will a £10 FVP, that I do use in the summer and she runs well all day, one of the best running and trouble free engines I have, so I will never knock seagulls.
Hope you get plenty of use out of your Gull and hope you find many more.

i bought a new silver century in malaysia in 1974, gave it in a house sale as a "sweetener" in 1986, and received it back as a gift a couple of months ago!! [ws1466aa4] you wouldn't believe it but it has had a pup already!! [wpcl1526j2]. the ws is as delivered from the factory but has done about 5 hours work and not cleaned after use so is not pristine. lived in the back of a cupboard for the last 16 years without use. i really must get to it and get it back on the water! the wpcl has no fuel tap at the moment and is average condition.
