for that boat to be stable it would have to be very heavy or have ballast ...the round shape makes it roll very easily ....very heavy not good ..very round not good

yes disconnect the contacts ..the magnetic field you create should snap through the old magnets and re viaalise them ...you must bare in mind why did they loose the magnetism ? vibration ? heat ?

rather than stroke you could try this ..
find which poles are N and S inside the flywheel with a small compass ( compass points to south pole of a magnet remember not north as the north pole of the earth is a magnetic south pole )
Say the first mag to approach the magneto coil is a North.

Because you do not have to register a boat here in australia with under 4 hp I know that even at this low power many use Hydrofoils to help raise the rear despite the low speed .....certainly ...

common problem with small boats where you do not have enough power to get onto the plane ....you are unable to get over the hump as the technical guys say ..so you stay pointing skywards ..the solution used here in Aus is a fin on the outboard ..for underpowered craft like yours you will need the ...

At bottom of this box we type in is a tag called... upload attachments click on that

I thought we had established that some of the coils incorperated a spark gap in the HT winding ...so your multimeter will not show a reading.....try this .....connect a plug to the plug lead ...earthed of course and then connect 12v AC from a transformer via a 21w indicator bulb to the primary ...

I note from the photographs that some of the adaptors are for 18mm taper seat plug holes so you may still need the lathe or enquire of the vendor .....

I am sure a few of you have used this or loaded it for future use ...the print out of the panels is a bit small but if you load down Freeship software ( not delftship it wont print) and import your file (XYZ) into it you can develop the panels in Freeship ( one click in Tools) and then print it out ...

Done some test with this ..If yu have any idea of building a boat best to dowload it now as its seems to come and go in availability as it is not being maintained by the software developer and I can find nothing similar for free . Has been used for many of the kits available. There is also a ...

I found this excellent boat design software called Carene . you specify boat length, width ,deadrise , number of planks .shape of bow /stern etc ...you can do from a canoe to a corricle . It draws out the shape of planks to be cut ...print ..enlarge and go buy some ply .....excellent for stitch and ...
