Thanks for the advice. there is fuel coming from the tank, I actually think about checking this (after a while!). Re the bowl, I assume I grip in my hand and turn anti-clockwise as viewed from below. Will it be quite tight? Dave

Cleaning a villiers carb
There doesn't seem to be fuel coming into the carburettor. The taper needle comes out easily by unscrewing the top, but I would like to remove the float and bowl for cleaning. The whole carb is plastic and I am not sure how it comes apart. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks. Dave

I have recently acquired from my brother in law a Seagull 40 EPFC 662JJ that hasn't run for many years. I have taken off the flywheel to access the ignition system. It is a Mark 3 Wipac or Electronic Ignition. There is some corrosion on the metal parts which I assume is stopping the ignition working ...
