Saving Old Seagulls

Afternoon everyone,

I would like to reduce the engine noise of my 40+

What would the best way of doing this (exhaust and carb)

Do you have any examples of this being done

To cut a long story short I have a old 25hp crescent that needs new piston rings now as far as I am aware you cannot get parts for old crescents, volvo penta, archimideies penta ect.

So does anyone in the UK know of a custom piston specialist or someone along these lines that could make me some ...

I took a 4hr boat trip and was totally fine and 5 minutes in a tank does the same thing with the revs

Cleaned the carb before the trip and what do you mean by a tune up?

Just wondering if my seagull as it is my first why the revs keep changing it runs high and drops and runs high again. Its almost like it wants to die but never does

I read johns FAQs and i though it could be timing but the FAQs says there fixed?

Ok it sounds the same when its in a river or a bucket and i thought it was very noisy

I think my seagull is extremely noisy, but this my first seagull so I don't really know?
