Clynder head

Just looking through some clynder heads and came across these 3 if one's standard and one's high compression what's the other :roll:

There in not a lot of difference in performance between the 3 of them. put them on your engine and have a play!

Squish heads didn’t know Seagull made such things, interesting.

See my post ‘Silver Century not starting’. The original head on mine was the same as the one on the left. The one I rebuilt with was the one on the top right. Huge increase in compression with the new one. I have seen all three types and have them in stock still, with the intention of some tinkering. However I won’t be messing with my Century now she’s running fine. I agree, have a play around and report back!

Are you saying the cylinder head in the top left of Tam's picture was the one that gave you 50lbs compression & that the one on the top right was 70lbs?

As according to all my notes, the top left one was on the LLS & a few of the early CPC series, it was replaced by the top right one, up to around the start of the Silver Century's when the one on the bottom row was used until 94 ish.
